IN THE PAST, if you wanted to install a lighting fixture outdoors where it will be exposed to the elements, you would typically use a separate enclosure or protective cover that is rated for outdoor use to protect the fixture from the elements. When automated lighting became popular and affordable, people naturally wanted to use them outside. Along came several weather-rated enclosures, like the Tempest Tornado, the High End Systems Ecodome, the Martin MAC Dome, the Condome inflatable dome, and more. In those days, an IP65-rated moving light was unheard of. Today, there are many moving 2022 seems to be the year of the IP65-rated moving light fixture.
