Shadow, Light, and Truth
THE FIRST LED STAGE LIGHTS that I can recall were some LED PARs that Color Kinetics showed at LDI around 1997. In the years shortly after that, there were so many new LED fixtures at the annual show that some people started referring to it as LEDI instead of LDI. Now, you can hardly find any tungsten lamps on most stages and there are fewer arc lamp fixtures as time goes on. T he driver of this immense change was the desire to increase energy efficiency.
